Iowa vs Michigan: The Hawkeyes got back to their winning ways against Illinois and will now take on No. 3 seeded Michigan on Friday night. Iowa used a dominant performance against Illinois to regain their offensive rhythm and played their most complete game.
The top team in the Big 10 standings will hit the road in this one. Michigan will be on the road to take on Iowa, who sits four games behind them in the standings. The Wolverines are coming off a 65-49 win over Ohio State, their third in a row. Iowa was taken down by Minnesota 92-87 in their last game.
This loss was their second in a row. Michigan is 11-10 ATS this season while Iowa is 10-11. These teams have split the last 10 meetings but Michigan has won the last three in a row. The Wolverines have emerged as one of the best teams in the country. They are currently 20-1 with a 9-1 conference record. Iowa is 5-5 and in need of a win in this game so they do not fall too far behind.
Iowa forced 15 Illinois turnovers and scored 24 points off them. Junior forward Tyler Cook looked comfortable guarding guys on the perimeter and the team was locked in. It was the first time that they regained that “chip” on their shoulder.
